I draw from and imbue my visual and performing art with both the raw power and subtle nuanced detail of life. In these featured pieces, the clarity and shine of mirrored glass and smoothness of leather is fused with molten silver solder to create whimsical decorative pieces. I often repurpose materials to give new life to old treasures that I find in and around my home in Los Angeles, California. Custom orders for other styles of work can be made through my Instagram @SepticFunk.

homebasedstudio's Karen Limkriengkrai is originally from the small town of San Fernando, California. Her enthusiasm for painting, drawing, and mixed media established her curiosity towards jewelry design. Three years after she moved to Washington, what started off as just a hobby in making jewelry for her and her friends, soon kicked off reaching a larger crowd outside of the PNW making a name for her latina-operated business venture: homebasedstudio. Her love for creating soon moved towards a deeper passion for constructing pieces for other people and putting a smile on their face.
